Description

These Strawberry Cottage Cheese Bagels offer a delightful burst of flavor with every bite. Quick to prepare and packed with nutrients, they make an excellent choice for breakfast or a snack. The combination of cottage cheese and strawberry powder results in a unique taste that’s sure to please everyone looking for a homemade treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup blended cottage cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons freeze-dried strawberry powder
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350℉.
  2. In a large bowl, combine blended cottage cheese, flour, baking powder, sea salt, freeze-dried strawberry powder, and brown sugar. Stir until mixed, then press together with hands to form a dough ball.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead until smooth, adding flour as needed to prevent stickiness.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces, roll each into a ball, and lightly flatten. Poke a hole in the center of each with a spoon or finger, stretching the hole to prevent closure during cooking.
  5. Brush the tops and bottoms of each bagel with egg wash.
  6. Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper and air fry the bagels for 6 minutes, then flip and fry for an additional 6 minutes. Work in batches if necessary.
  7. Remove from the air fryer and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Enjoy with your favorite toppings for bagels.

Notes

For a sweeter flavor, add more brown sugar or top with cream cheese and fresh strawberries.
You can substitute the freeze-dried strawberry powder with fresh strawberries if preferred, but adjust baking time accordingly.
These bagels are best enjoyed fresh out of the air fryer but can be stored covered for up to 2 days.
