Description

This Slow Cooker Pulled Pork recipe features tender pork shoulder infused with savory spices. Perfect for quick weeknight dinners or gatherings, it’s packed with flavor and requires minimal prep. Serve it on buns for an unforgettable meal that brings comfort home.


Ingredients

  • 3 pound boneless pork shoulder
  • 2 tablespoons herb and garlic seasoning
  • 1/2 cup bbq sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  • Rub the pork shoulder with the herb and garlic seasoning and place it in the slow cooker.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chicken broth. Pour this mixture over the pork in the slow cooker.
  • Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours, until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 205 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
  • Return about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of the juices back to the shredded pork, discarding the rest.
  • If desired, mix in additional BBQ sauce to taste.

Notes

For best results, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the pork.
You can store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days in the refrigerator.
This pulled pork can also be frozen for up to three months.
