- 4½ pounds pork shoulder
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 orange, juiced
Instructions
- Prepare the spice rub by mixing paprika, oregano, salt, pepper, and cumin in a small bowl.
- Rub the spice mixture generously all over the pork shoulder.
- Place the seasoned pork shoulder in the slow cooker, then add the diced onion, chopped garlic, and orange juice on top.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours until the pork is tender and shreds easily with two forks.
- Once cooked, transfer the pork to a cutting board, shred it and return it to the slow cooker, mixing it with the juices to keep it succulent.
