Description

Pico de Gallo bursts with fresh flavors and is made with simple ingredients like roma tomatoes and cilantro. It’s a great addition to any meal, whether you’re hosting a gathering or looking for a quick snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound roma tomatoes
  • ½ red onion
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ¼ freshly ground black pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Finely dice the roma tomatoes, removing seeds and pulp from the center.
  2. Finely dice the red onion and chop the fresh cilantro.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine all of the ingredients and stir to mix well.
  4. Chill the mixture for 30 minutes to 1 hour or serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the Pico de Gallo sit longer before serving.
Adjust lime juice and salt to taste for preferred acidity and saltiness.
Pico de Gallo pairs well with tortilla chips, tacos, or grilled meats.
