Description

These Peach Preserves are a delightful blend of sweet and tangy flavors, made with fresh ingredients. Perfect for spreading on toast or adding to desserts, this easy recipe brings you homemade goodness in every jar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 peaches, diced into 2” cubes
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • ½ lemon, zest

Instructions

  1. Combine the diced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a large saucepan.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium-high until it reaches a rapid boil, then boil for 20 minutes, stirring every few minutes to break down the peaches.
  3. Check for thickness by using a spoon; the mixture should stick to the back of it when ready.
  4. Once thickened, pour the preserves into a large glass jar or smaller jars. Seal them and refrigerate.
  5. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.

Notes

For a sweeter preserve, adjust the sugar to taste.
Ensure the jars are sterilized before storing the preserves for better longevity.
These preserves can be used as a topping for desserts or mixed into yogurt.
