- 4 cups fresh peach slices peeled
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
- In a medium saucepan, combine peach slices, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Cook over medium heat for about 3–4 minutes until the sugar melts and mixture becomes warm and juicy.
- Pour the melted butter into the prepared baking dish without stirring it in.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth. Pour it over the butter in the baking dish without mixing.
- Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter, ensuring some juice is included. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
- Bake in the oven for 38–42 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling at the edges.
- Let it cool slightly before serving warm with vanilla ice cream.
