- 4 large eggs (at room temperature)

- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream (or whole milk)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder, then set aside.
- Beat the softened butter until creamy. Add granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt, beating for 2-3 minutes until fluffy and pale.
- Incorporate eggs one at a time, beating on high speed for about 30-60 seconds after each addition.
- Gradually add in the flour mixture and heavy cream, alternating between the two, until smooth.
- Pour about ⅔ of the batter into the prepared pan. Mix the remaining ⅓ of the batter with cocoa powder, an extra tablespoon of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of cream. Spread this chocolate batter over the vanilla layer and swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Moist crumbs are fine but no liquid batter.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate ganache before serving.
