These Homemade Artisan Crackers are full of flavor and simple to prepare. Made with fresh herbs and paired with your favorite dips, they’re perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients

- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour, plus more for kneading and rolling
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
- 2/3 cup (160g/ml) water
- 3 tablespoons (41g/45ml) extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing on top
- flaky sea salt, for topping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and rosemary.
- Pour in water and olive oil, stirring until dough forms a clump.
- Turn the dough onto a floured work surface; knead for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for 10 minutes to 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cut the dough in half, keeping one half covered while rolling the other.
- Roll one half out into a thin rectangle about 1/16th of an inch thick.
- Cut the rolled dough into small rectangles of 3 x 1.5 inches and transfer to baking sheets.
- Repeat the rolling and cutting process with the second half of the dough.
- Dock the crackers with a fork, brush with olive oil, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt and optional seasonings.
- Bake for 9-12 minutes until golden brown, rotating the sheets halfway for even baking.
- Cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Store crackers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
To re-crisp, bake in the oven at 350°F for 10 minutes.
Experiment with different herbs and spices for unique flavors.
