Description

This Thanksgiving Stuffing is a delightful blend of bread, butter, and aromatic herbs, creating a comforting side dish that’s easy to prepare and perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 cups dry bread cubes
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups onion, 1/2" diced
  • 2 cups celery, 1/2" diced
  • 3 teaspoons poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 to 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cut the bread into 1/2" to 3/4" cubes using a serrated knife. Lay the cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  3. Bake the bread cubes in the oven for about an hour, tossing them occasionally to ensure they dry completely.
  4. Once dried, remove the bread from the oven and set aside to cool.

Notes

Feel free to add your favorite herbs to customize the flavor.
Ensure the bread is fully dried to prevent sogginess in the stuffing.
For an extra flavor boost, use homemade chicken broth.
