Description

Fried Deviled Eggs are a sumptuous offering perfect for gatherings, combining crispy fried egg whites with a creamy, flavorful yolk filling. Made easy with simple ingredients like mayonnaise and fresh dill, they’re sure to impress anyone looking for homemade snacks or appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup plain regular breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 3 Tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon white pepper
  • Paprika, for garnish
  • Extra fresh dill, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place 6 large eggs in a pot, covering with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool.
  2. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Scoop out the yolks and place them in a bowl, setting the egg whites aside.
  3. Mash the yolks until smooth, then mix in mayonnaise, fresh dill, Dijon mustard, salt, and white pepper. Refrigerate the filling while prepping the whites.
  4. Set up a breading station with bowls of all-purpose flour, beaten eggs, and a mix of panko and regular breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Dredge each egg white half in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently for an even coat.
  7. Fry the egg whites in batches until golden brown, roughly 1-2 minutes per side. Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  8. Once cooled slightly, fill each fried egg white half with the yolk mixture.
  9. Garnish with paprika and fresh dill. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding hot sauce to the yolk mixture.
If available, use homemade mayonnaise for a richer taste.
Always maintain the oil temperature for even frying.
