Description

This Fig and Prosciutto Crostini is a perfect blend of sweet and savory. With crispy baguette slices topped with figs, prosciutto, creamy Gorgonzola, and honey, it’s an easy appetizer that impresses at any gathering!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons pistachios, toasted
  • 1 small baguette, cut into 1/2" slices
  • 6 slices prosciutto, cut in half lengthwise
  • 6 large figs, cut into slices
  • 4 ounces Gorgonzola cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Chop the pistachios roughly and toast them in a sauté pan over medium heat until fragrant and lightly golden. Set aside to cool.
  3. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 6-7 minutes, until the edges are golden brown. Allow to cool for a few minutes.
  4. On each toasted crostini, place a half slice of prosciutto, followed by 3-4 fig slices and about 1/2 tablespoon of Gorgonzola cheese. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with toasted pistachios.

Notes

Use fresh figs for the best flavor.
Ensure the pistachios are toasted to enhance their flavor.
Serve immediately for the best texture of the crostini.
