Description

This creamy Alfredo sauce is rich in flavor and incredibly easy to make. With buttery goodness, fresh parmesan, and just the right seasonings, it’s perfect for a quick dinner or a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • up to 1/4 cup hot milk (optional) or pasta water
  • 1 pkg fettuccine noodles – cooked to package directions
  • freshly chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the minced garlic. Let it simmer for about a minute.
  • Pour in the heavy whipping cream and half and half, whisking until combined. Allow it to gently simmer.
  • Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
  • Add the freshly grated parmesan cheese and stir until it has melted completely, ensuring the sauce is smooth.
  • If the sauce is too thick, whisk in small amounts of hot milk or pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
  • Toss the creamy sauce with the cooked fettuccine noodles, garnishing with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a thinner sauce, adjust with more hot milk or pasta water as needed.
Use freshly grated parmesan for the best flavor and texture in the sauce.
Add cooked chicken or shrimp for a heartier meal.
