Description

Chocolate Covered Mint Oreos are a delightful treat that combines the irresistible flavors of mint and chocolate. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create these mouthwatering cookies that are perfect for any occasion. Enjoy the crunch of Oreos coated in smooth chocolate, making them a favorite for anyone looking for an easy, homemade dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 mint flavored oreos
  • 16 ounces semisweet chocolate disks
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 tablespoons green sprinkles

Instructions

  • Place the semisweet chocolate disks in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds. Stir and continue heating in 30-second intervals until smooth and glossy.
  • Mix the peppermint extract into the melted chocolate, stirring well to combine.
  • Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • Using a fork, dip each Oreo cookie in the chocolate, then lift it out and tap the fork against the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
  • Place the dipped Oreo on the lined baking sheet.
  • Pour any remaining melted chocolate into a piping bag or a Ziploc bag with the corner cut off.
  • Drizzle the chocolate in a zigzag pattern over the coated cookies and sprinkle with green sprinkles immediately.
  • Allow the cookies to set at room temperature for 30-60 minutes or refrigerate for 15 minutes to firm up the chocolate.

Notes

Ensure the chocolate is completely melted for a smooth coating.
Experiment with different types of sprinkles for a fun twist.
