Description

Enjoy Burger Bowls with Chipotle Ranch Sweet Potato Fries, featuring flavorful beef, crispy sweet potatoes, and a tangy chipotle ranch sauce—all in one hearty bowl, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt)
  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons Sazon seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • Kosher salt & fresh ground black pepper- to taste
  • 3 medium sweet potatoes, cleaned (pat dry) & sliced into wedges
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 2 ½ tablespoons Creole Cajun Seasoning– homemade or store-bought, divided
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ medium yellow onion, diced
  • ⅓ cup beef broth (or water as sub)
  • For bowl assembly: Chopped romaine lettuce, halved cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion, hamburger dill chips, and sliced avocado- as desired

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, blend sour cream, mayonnaise, buttermilk, chipotle peppers, garlic paste, Sazon seasoning, parsley, and salt/pepper until smooth. Store in a container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  2. Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment and place a wire rack on top.
  3. In a large bowl, mix sweet potato wedges with 2 tablespoons olive oil and Cajun seasoning until evenly coated, then arrange on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake sweet potato wedges for 40 minutes at 425°F until tender and crispy. Meanwhile, prepare the beef mixture.
  5. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil. Add ground beef, breaking it up, and cook until browned. Add diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in remaining 1 ½ tablespoons Cajun seasoning and beef broth, allowing it to simmer on residual heat until the liquid is absorbed and the beef is moist.
  6. In serving bowls, layer the romaine lettuce and baked sweet potato wedges, top with the beef mixture and desired toppings, and drizzle with chipotle ranch.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate sweet potato wedges in olive oil and seasoning for 30 minutes before baking.
Feel free to customize the toppings in your burger bowl according to your preferences!
This recipe can be easily adapted with ground turkey or vegetarian substitutes for a different protein option.
