Description

This Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie (8-Inch) boasts an irresistible flavor with its rich brown butter and melty chocolate chips. Perfectly baked in a skillet, it’s a simple yet delicious dessert that will satisfy any chocolate lover’s cravings!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour and 2 tablespoons
  • 1½ tsp cornstarch
  • 1/8 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • Flaky salt for finishing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the unsalted butter over medium heat until golden brown and fragrant.
  3. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the light brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until fully combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving some for topping.
  8. Spread the dough evenly in the skillet and top with extra chocolate chips.
  9. Sprinkle flaky salt on top for added flavor.
  10. Bake for 22-24 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center is set.
  11. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature eggs.
Feel free to use dark chocolate for a richer taste.
