This Berry Trifle combines whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and blueberries layered with angel food cake, creating a delicious, easy dessert for any occasion.

- 3 cups whipping cream
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 angel food cake (or pound cake, 10 to 12 ounces)
- 2 pounds strawberries
- 1 pint blueberries
- 3 tablespoons seedless strawberry jam
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey (or sugar)
- ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the sauce by whisking together the seedless strawberry jam, lemon juice, honey, and ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract in a small bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix the whipping cream, powdered sugar, and 1 ½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Layer the dessert by placing chunks of angel food cake at the bottom of a trifle dish, then adding a layer of the whipped cream mixture.
- Add a layer of fresh strawberries and blueberries on top of the whipped cream.
- Repeat the process until all the ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of whipped cream and a garnish of berries on top.
Notes
For a lighter version, use a sugar substitute in place of powdered sugar.
Fresh fruits can be swapped depending on the season or preference.
Serve chilled for the best flavor and texture.
