BBQ Ribs | Sticky Oven-Roasted Ribs for Father’s Day are beautifully tender and full of flavor. With a simple dry rub and your favorite BBQ sauce, these ribs are perfect for any occasion, especially family gatherings.

- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 ½ teaspoons granulated garlic or garlic powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ to ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 racks pork baby back ribs, 2.5 to 3 pounds total weight
- ½ cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
- In a bowl, mix the dry rub ingredients together.
- Prepare the ribs by rinsing them, drying with paper towels, and removing the membrane if needed.
- Place the ribs on heavy-duty foil, rub one-third of the seasoning on the bony side, flip them, and rub remaining seasoning on the meaty side. Enclose in foil.
- Bake the ribs for about 2 hours until tender.
- Switch the oven to broil. Transfer ribs to the baking sheet, baste with BBQ sauce, flip and baste the other side.
- Broil for 4-6 minutes until the sauce caramelizes.
- Allow the ribs to rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For extra flavor, let the ribs marinate with the spice rub overnight.
Feel free to adjust the cayenne pepper according to your heat preference.
Use a sharp serrated knife for clean cuts.
