Description

This avocado dressing brings irresistible flavor to your salads and meals! With simple preparation, ripe avocados, fresh herbs, and a zesty kick, it’s a healthy and delicious choice for anyone looking for homemade recipes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 lemon – juice only
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 3/4 cup avocado oil
  • 2 tbsp agave nectar
  • 2 tbsp cilantro (or basil, or parsley)
  • coarse kosher salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Ensure you have a blender or food processor ready with an opening on top for adding ingredients while blending.
  2. Halve the avocado, remove the pit, peel the skin, and place the avocado flesh into the blender or food processor.
  3. Add the white wine vinegar, lemon juice, agave nectar, garlic clove, cilantro, and salt to the blender. Do not add the oil yet!
  4. Secure the lid and begin blending, slowly drizzling in the avocado oil as it blends. Continue blending for a few seconds after all the oil is added.
  5. Check the dressing's consistency and taste. If you prefer a thinner dressing, add another 1/4 cup of avocado oil and blend again.

Notes

You can substitute cilantro with basil or parsley for a different flavor profile.
Adjust the amount of salt according to your taste preference.
This dressing can be stored in the refrigerator for several days.
