Description

This Air Fryer Sweet and Spicy Salmon offers an irresistible blend of flavors, combining salmon with a savory-sweet spice mix. Perfect for a quick dinner or healthy meal, it’s easy to prepare and delivers a comforting taste everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound salmon, (4) 4-ounce filets
  • 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped; for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper together.
  3. Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel, then brush about 1/2 teaspoon of mustard onto each salmon filet. Sprinkle each filet with 1/4 of the spice mixture and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Place the salmon in the preheated air fryer, ensuring each filet has about an inch of space around it. Cook in batches if necessary.
  5. Cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 135 degrees F.
  6. Remove the filets from the air fryer, cover with aluminum foil, and serve with chopped parsley.

Notes

Ensure the salmon is patted dry for better seasoning adherence.
Adjust cooking time for thicker or thinner fillets to achieve desired doneness.
Store leftover salmon in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
