Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 16.3 ounce can flaky biscuits
- 1 cup apple cider
Instructions
- Line a tray with parchment paper or set out a wire rack for the finished donuts.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the sugar and cinnamon, then set aside.
- Pour the apple cider into a small saucepan and simmer over medium-high heat until reduced slightly. Set aside after reducing.
- Open the biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Use a small round object to punch out the centers to form donuts.
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment or spray with oil.
- Air fry four donuts at a time in a single layer, ensuring they aren't touching. If snug, remove one donut.
- Cook at 350°F for 3 minutes, flip, and cook for another 3 minutes.
- Transfer hot donuts to the tray or wire rack and repeat with the remaining dough.
- While warm, brush each donut with the reduced apple cider, then coat them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Notes
Ensure your donuts are placed in a single layer in the air fryer for even cooking.
You can use store-bought apple cider or make your own for a fresher taste.
For a twist, add a drizzle of caramel or chocolate on top after coating.
