Description

These Acorn Donut Holes are a delightful treat combining fluffy donut holes with rich chocolate and crunchy pretzels. Easy to prepare and perfect for gatherings!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 glazed donut holes
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips
  • 10–20 pretzel sticks
  • ¾ cup chocolate jimmies sprinkles

Instructions

  1. If the pretzel sticks are long, break them in half to use only 10.
  2. In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second increments, stirring each time until smooth.
  3. Pour the chocolate sprinkles into a separate bowl and keep it nearby.
  4. Dip the top of each donut hole into the melted chocolate, scraping off the excess. Then dip it into the sprinkles to coat.
  5. Press a pretzel stick into the chocolate-covered end of each donut hole to create the acorn stem, being careful not to dislodge the sprinkles.
  6. Place each assembled acorn donut hole on a parchment-lined tray and repeat the process until all are made.
  7. Refrigerate or freeze for 5 minutes to set the chocolate, or enjoy immediately while still warm.

Notes

For extra crunch, you can also try using different types of sprinkles.
Make sure to let the chocolate cool slightly before dipping to achieve a better coating.
These are best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container for a day or two.
