Description

This Zucchini Lasagna Bolognese combines the hearty flavors of ground beef with creamy ricotta and melty mozzarella. Perfect for a quick and healthy dinner!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 medium zucchinis, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a pan over medium heat, brown the ground beef with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce in a baking dish.
  • Layer the zucchini slices over the sauce.
  • Add half of the cooked ground beef over the zucchini.
  • Dollop ricotta cheese evenly on top of the beef.
  • Repeat the layers and finish with a layer of zucchini on top.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the final layer.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding chopped vegetables between the layers.
This dish can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
