This Slow Cooker Baileys Irish Cream Hot Chocolate is a delightful treat, featuring rich Ghirardelli chocolate and creamy Baileys. Easy to prepare, it’s a comforting drink perfect for chilly nights or festive gatherings. Serve it with marshmallows or whipped cream for a sweet finish!

- 8 oz. ghiradelli semi-sweet chocolate baking squares
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 6 cups whole milk
- 1 cup baileys® irish cream
- marshmallows or whipped cream
Instructions
- Break chocolate squares and place them in the slow cooker.
- Add the cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla extract, heavy cream, and whole milk (don't add the Baileys yet).
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on HIGH for 1.5 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
- Once hot, stir in the Baileys Irish Cream.
- Set out mugs, whipped cream, and marshmallows for serving. Allow guests to serve themselves.
- Switch the slow cooker to warm, maintaining temperature for up to 3 hours while stirring occasionally.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use higher quality chocolate or adjust the amount of Baileys to taste.
Feel free to add a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra warmth and flavor.
This recipe can be half or doubled easily depending on your crowd.
