Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 medium head of cabbage (cut into small wedges)
  • 1/41/2 cup light cream
  • freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the cabbage wedges, cover the skillet, and sauté until they start to brown or char, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Carefully flip the cabbage to brown the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Pour in the cream and heat, stirring gently, until it thickens slightly, about 2 minutes.
  • Season with salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.

Notes

Cabbage can be cooked to your desired level of tenderness.
The longer you cook the cabbage, the sweeter it will become.
