Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups heavy cream cold
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoon vanilla instant pudding
- ⅔ cup Irish cream
- 1 lbs mascarpone cheese room temp
- 27 ladyfingers
- 1 cup espresso
- 2 tablespoon Irish cream
- 2 tablespoon cocoa powder
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cold heavy cream, sugar, Baileys Irish cream, vanilla extract, and vanilla instant pudding. Mix with an electric hand mixer until soft peaks form.
- Add room-temperature mascarpone cheese and blend until smooth and creamy, being careful not to overmix.
- Prepare a mixture of espresso and Irish cream in a shallow bowl. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for 1-2 seconds and layer them in a 13 by 9-inch baking dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the soaked ladyfingers and smooth it out with a spatula.
- Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers on top, followed by a thin layer of the mascarpone cream.
- Fill a piping bag with the remaining filling and pipe dollops of cream over the thin mascarpone layer.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to soften the ladyfingers. Before serving, generously sprinkle cocoa powder on top.
Notes
Chill the tiramisu for at least 4 hours for the best texture.
Try to use fresh espresso for a richer flavor.
You can substitute the ladyfingers with sponge cake if preferred.
